Last game

Hull 0 Villa 1 - Last game for 6 months! Got home an hour ago (well 0145 hrs, ignore the blog clock as it's on SAFA time!) slightly drunk and still smiling after another fantastic smash and grab 3 points. Brilliant way to close out the season for me and top company as always.

Bubbs, Kev, Wayne, Gaz (J&T), Pete, Al, Sting and all the others - love you all, see you in Istanbul hopefully!

Osiyeza - the homecoming...

So, its 4:00 in the morning... (cue Lennard Cohen) on Dubai airport... and the adventure has officially started for me. After a fabulous night at Ade, Meg and Freya's in the South (involving buckets of mulled wine, great company and the best Christmas pies EVER), I wove a genuine teary eyed goodbye to the UK and loved ones here to troop my way back to "volk and vaderland" for our six month adventure. Excitement mounts as I'm currently half entwined in a shopping trolley, propping up my eyelids with bits of eyelash and sporting a set of British racing pink earplugs through my Medusa like bush of hair. Nothing like trash travelling to drag the drool from your cornerlip. First on my list I plan a productive unpacking and information gathering fiesta like none before, so homies gather your skirts, auntie Elaine's on a mini mission until her chocolate high runs out. Then God help us. See you on the flip side. *e

Chandler's Ford, Winchester and Gatwick

Well she's gone! It all feels real now. Elaine flew out from Gatwick today after we had a lovely time visiting Ade, Meg and Freya in Chandler's Ford yesterday.

Great company, great food, great wine and a great way to start our adventure, thanks guys and happy landings to Elaine.

I've got 1 week left in the UK then i'm off too, can't wait!

Still on the island

Well, we finally made a blog, just like everyone suggested and we're still on the island, a month and a bit to go. Can't WAIT to show Jon all the bits of homeland and try some new bits on for size like Nam and Mozambique etc. May the force be with you. *e
